We all have them. Crushes. And if you're reading this shaking your head no, you're probably too sophisticated to read my blog anyways so stop now.
Crush, mentor, role model, hero, call it what you want. We have certain people placed in our lives to inspire us. The ones that makes us say "Frick."
One of my many, many crushes is the real life Pocahontas herself. Offended by that, you're too easily offended.
Leah is the most down to earth, beautiful, kind, gentle and fierce woman I know. She's cooler than Cool Whip. Her hair puts Rapunzel's playboy locks to shame. Her dog is cuter than Bo, and he's presidential cute. The husband is some scientific mixture of Thor and a Lumber Sexual icon. Her three daughters are angelic and look up to her in a way that melts your heart. Sooooo...
Leah and I met before we were mothers. Now here we are, five years later, both mamas and I respect her even more than I did before. Which by the way, I didn't think was possible.
Watching Leah with her girls is when I go from a juvenile crush to admiring her like a role model. There's your bone, sophisticated people, if you kept reading.
She's patient with her girls. Fun. Loving. Creative. Comforting. Leah's an incredible mother and I simply adore her and her family.
Any dad's out there reading this, Thomas is an equally admirable dad. But I'm cursing on Leah, not him, so ya'll can do that on behalf of all men.
Taking their photos was the easiest job in the world. I said have fun and show some love. This session was a dream and I had a soft smile on my face editing every photo.
Cheers to having crushes that inspire.
